WORKSHOPS
28 June 2011 - 21 February 2012

SILC are running a series of FREE all day workshops around Surrey to help people who get Direct Payments.  There will be helpful sessions on managing your direct payment, reconciliation and monitoring, support planning and recruiting & employing PAs.

These workshops have taken the place of Peer Support Groups as it was felt a full day with specific sessions and people from HMRC, payroll and insurance companies would be of more benefit.

We currently run two sessions in the morning, Recruiting and employing Personal Assistants and Support Planning and Services (run by Richard Davy).  In the afternoon we again run recruiting and employing Personal Assistant as this is where lots of people have problems and Managing Money which includes very interesting talks by HMRC, David Howard Payroll, and Fish and Premier Care Insurance Companies.  People from each of these companies also have stands which enables them to answer questions on a one to one basis.

The next workshop will be held at the Cobham Hilton Hotel on Tuesday 21st February 2012.  If you wish to find out more please contact Kate on 01483 458111 or kate@surreyilc.org.uk .
