Adverts and Application Forms
If you are just using PA Finder then you will not need to prepare a specific advert or send out application forms. However if you wish to advertise specifically for a PA as well as or instead of using PA Finder then you will need to bear in mind the following.
Firstly you will to draw up an advert. This could be very simple with just the basic information. So for example:
Experienced person required to help with social care tasks for disabled lady.
10 hours per week, £**.** p/h.
Phone 0123456 for further information and an application form.

Closing Date for Applications is January **/**/**

You should also have some copies of the Job Description you are going to use to send out to anyone who is interested in applying as it will help them see if they are the right person with the right skills to work for you.
SILC’s Independent Living Advisers are available to help will specific advertising and support you fully with all types of aspects of your recruitments. However the funding available within your Direct Payment might restrict how much advertising you can afford to do.
Sending out Application Forms
For security reasons it is important not to give out your address to people at this stage. So you can ask SILC to send out your applications forms and job descriptions and have applicants return the completed applications forms to us and we will then pass these on to you.
